Music

Vision

Our vision for the Music Department is to inspire every student to enjoy, understand, and create music, whatever their starting point. We aim to build confidence, creativity, and teamwork through high-quality musical experiences that are inclusive and engaging. Through performance, composition, and listening, students will develop skills that support both personal growth and lifelong appreciation of music.

Overview

Currently, our music curriculum is delivered as part of our curriculum enrichment days and through extra curricular clubs.

So far this academic year we have welcomed IRIE! dance theatre who delivered drumming workshops for students in year 7,8 and 9 on Tuesday 25th  - Thursday 27th November 2025.

Further music is planned for our careers themed workshop on 11th March and our STEAM Curriculum enrichment day on 1st July.

Our Choir extra-curricular club takes place on Monday's after school and Tuesday's after school.

Students are currently rehersing for our production of High School Musical.
