Health and Social Care
The Health and Social Care curriculum encourages students to critically consider the development of individuals and the impact lifestyle and care can have on health and wellbeing. This is to be achieved through making links to real life contexts and scenarios that highlight these key themes.
Understand Real Life
Students get to explore how health, wellbeing, and social care services operate in the real world, including hospitals, clinics, care homes, and community services. They examine factors affecting health and wellbeing, such as lifestyle choices, social and economic circumstances, and access to services. Finally, hrough case studies and realistic scenarios, students see the impact of care and support on individuals. All of these aspects help them connect classroom learning to everyday life.
