Goffs-Churchgate Students support local Nursing Home

On Monday 2nd March, the Year 11 Health and Social Care class ran an event at the local Kingfisher Nursing Home as part of their final assessment. 

They ran an afternoon of activities including games of Bingo and made afternoon tea for all of the residents. The students did a fantastic job and were a credit to the school. They went above and beyond the requirements of their assignment to make sure that the residents had great afternoon and we have had some really lovely feedback; The activities coordinator at the home has written to the students thanking them for making the residents day, and the manager has sent a separate email congratulating the students on such as successful afternoon and inviting the school back any time. One of the residents was so impressed by our students that he has written a letter to Alison Garner, Executive Principal, saying that if they are an example of the future generation then we have nothing to worry about
